I have been a CNA for 33 years and I have seen a lot working in the nursing industry. Employers do not care about the struggles of the everyday life as a CNA all they care about is that there is a warm body in the building to fill a space and if you have a voice, you are not heard or fired if you use your voice to many times.
The CNA is the most unappreciated worker in the field and the most underpaid worker there is. Employers do not care about working conditions, they keep supplies to a minimum so they can save the corporation money and then at the end of the year the big wigs get the perks, and we get nothing, not even a thanksgiving turkey.
Without CNA’s where would the nursing field be?
RANTS & RAVES is where CNAs can safely rant about those little, and big!, things that annoy us, send cheers and hugs to people doing the right thing.
