I know for sure my colleague lost a pregnancy on the floor due to being overworked
we had 60 clients each and used to work 36hrs nonstop at times sleeping on the floors for locum.
She lost her pregnancy trying to lift a 198lb quad patient while supporting her with her neck.
We’d been brainwashed to feel achievement in suffering, while the directors vacations 5 months in a calendar year.
The situation is worse for caregivers of color..this needs looking into.
