The truth is, our only healthcare options from our employers often come with super high deductibles, premiums, and co-pays, and expensive prescriptions!
That makes it nearly impossible to afford, especially for those of us earning a low hourly wage. It leaves many of us without basic healthcare, or drowning in medical debt.
For many of us CNAs, the pricey healthcare coverage from our nursing home employers often doesn’t even allow us to see the specialists and providers we need. On top of that, these insurance plans rarely cover our family members.
This is not how it should be. CNAs deserve better, affordable healthcare.
That’s why we need all CNAs in Washington to tell your lawmakers in Olympia to pass SB 5344. This bill will fund high-quality, affordable healthcare for nursing home workers through establishing the Essential Worker Healthcare Program.
