      1. Long Term NAC’s / NAR’s and HCA-C’s full time in facilities are getting benefits from it and got a huge raise. Many are at 24$. I’m not even sure if there is a cap on on how much you can raise your employees but I do know they have to work within the money granted to them. I am ecstatic that after all these years they are getting paid what some should. 20 years ago when I started I was at 7$ dollars and we worked hard. I eventually I got into operations and management and have been an Executive Director.
I do feel bad there is no increased compensation for Medical Assistants as the job is hoping and they do alot. They also dont get paid close to what care staff are now getting paid.

So next on Washingtons radar needs to re-evaluate CMA’s due to the schooling, some have Associates and they are replaced for LPN’s so they need to. get paid now what they are worth to doctors, the clinic, the patients, and the other areas they jump in at.

        1. Or how about the other nursing assistants that weren’t included in this raise or are we just going to continue to give them the middle finger we would like a raise to

        2. I do have an Associate of applied science in Clinical Medical Assistant. I just stopped the job recently for being underpaid. Am working now as a Medical Technician and sometimes as CNA where l get $23 plus. CMA is $ 20 or 19 and too much work and stressful atmosphere coping with so many tasks at the same time. Please hear the voice of CMAs especially those with Associate and pay them for the hard work they’re doing.

    1. @Sandra Avamere in Bellingham? If so, they are receiving or already received a total of $180,508.95. This is money that is supposed to go to CNAs!

      1. I am currently working at the Spokane Veterans Home. They are hiring NARs for more money then most of us that have been there for years. This is not fair. I recently did get a raise but I am hoping for more of a significant pay increase due to the rate of inflation. Is this going to happen soon. I was told by my union rep that they have until 10/2/22 to make their final offer

        1. Hi Eric, I’m glad you have a union rep that can provide more information and can help you advocate for that raise! Spokane Veterans Home is receiving $108,551.40 in state funding.

        2. Please look me up on Facebook I’m interested if Spokane veterans is hiring. I have an up to date nar and live in Spokane with current healthcare experience

        3. I work in hospice and home care Cna for 30 years, my territory is all nursing homes and retirement. My boss says no raises as we are not in that umbrella

        4. Do you mind if I ask how much you make working there? I was hired at ProMedica formerly known as ManorCare on assembly I have been a CNA for close to 20 years and my starting wage was 22:35

    1. Hi Christa, Promedica at Tacoma is receiving $268,134.17 in state funds! This means that all CNAs working there, including you, should be getting raises. Let me know through email if you want to chat about this further. Email me at cnavoiceswa@gmail.com

      1. Hi my name is Autumn Ashdown I live in Spokane Washington and I work for a company called ProMedica who is in the midst of purchasing a rehab and long-term care facility formerly known as ManorCare. I started working ithere back in September and my rate was set at 22.35 an hour and that was based on the fact I’ve been a CNA for close to 20 years. I am seeing other facilities here locally of similar caliber of care paying new CNAs 24 and $25 an hour do you know how I can tell if I am being paid a fair rate according to these new increases?

      2. Does this mean that all CNAs at that facility make less than $21/hr?

Isn’t the pay raises up to $4/hr, but only if you makes less than $21?

    2. I have been a cna for 33 years. I’ve worked in nursing homes and now I work in the hospital and with as bad as what’s going on in our world I was just wondering if the hospital CNAs are going to get this raise too. We all work very hard. Nursing homes or hospitals the CNAs bust their butts all the time and we all deserve a healthy raise.

    1. Hi Mercy, unfortunately, this funding is for certain nursing homes across the state although we’d love to see ALL CNAs everywhere get raises- we work too hard, are short-staffed and really deserve it, especially now that food prices are going up

    1. Hi Christina, Arcadia Healthcare – University Place is receiving $201,969.86 in state funds so you (if you’re currently a CNA there) and the other CNAs at this facility should be getting raises!

  1. My administrator says that CNA VOICES could be fake & that he hasn’t heard any thing about CNA raises, he said that the rate for Medicade went up but hasn’t heard anything donnaelse.

    1. Hi Donna, we are doing the best we can to spread information about this funding that the state is giving to some nursing homes for CNAs because as CNAs ourselves, we know how tough it is out there. Personally, I wouldn’t trust everything your administrator says- some would rather pocket the money and not give it to the CNAs. Here is a summary of the fund that you can find on the DSHS website: https://www.dshs.wa.gov/sites/default/files/ALTSA/msd/documents/Wage%20Equity%20Summary%206.1.22.pdf

    1. Hi Nicole, where is Empres? Seattle Medical Post Acute Care is receiving $423,810.00 in state funding for CNA raises! If you are currently a CNA there, you should be getting part of this funding through a raise! ALL the CNAs at that facility should be getting raises

      1. EmpRes is the mother organization that holds many skilled and assisted facilities under their name. For instance I see that my sister facility that literally is less than a mile away (Royal Park Skilled) is on the listed, but we Royal Park Retirement Center which is Assisted living, but still we require CNA’s and we’re extremely effected by the COVID as well and have been short staffed at times, we aren’t getting anything extra…. But if EMPRES is getting all this funding, and we are an employee owned business, you would think they’d spread that out to everyone employed nationally vs only skilled. We do just as much as the skilled center for some residents, they just happen to live with us.

        1. I work for Seattle Medical Post Acute. I have not received a raise !! But Washington State sent in agency workers because of the shortage of CNA’s . The state workers are paid $3,000 A WEEK. PLUS THE STATE PAYS FOR THEIR HOUSING!!!
Should I get retro pay ???? going back to the summer ??

  2. Howdy! I could haѵe sworn I’ve been to this website before bᥙt afteг checking through some
of the post I realized it’s new to me. Anyhow, I’m definitely delighted I fⲟund it
and I’ll be booк-marking and checking back frequently!

    1. Hi Marisela, hospitals are not part of this funding. This state funding is specifically for some nursing homes in WA.

  3. I simply could not go away your site before suggesting that I actually loved the usual information an individual provide to your guests? Is going to be back frequently to check up on new posts.

  4. I’m pretty sure our care home is not included because it’s privately owned and residents pay cash.
Liberty Shores Senior care and Harbor House memory care facility in Poulsbo WA.

    1. Hello Irene, there are 189 nursing homes on the list, the ones in the video are just a few examples! Sullivan Park Care Center in Spokane Valley is receiving $239,683.05 for CNA raises

    1. Hi Samantha, of course! I personally believe that ALL healthcare workers should be getting raises, no matter the facility, no matter the state- but unfortunately, this fund is for some nursing homes in WA only

  5. I worked in a hospital where base pay is about 17 and hour and we grt 30 cent raises. It’s about same or just a bit more the. Fast food workers make. It’s insane. The living wage in my area is 33 and hour to live off of.

    1. Hi Shannon- I can relate. it’s frustrating how hard it is to get basic needs met right now . We CNAs need better pay

  6. I have been a CNA for 21 years. I was working in a nursing home for 18 of those years. I now work for Alternative Nursing Services for home care. I don’t make much more than the new minimum wage. Why is the raise only for some nursing homes and no others?

    1. hi Connie, this fund is only for nursing homes because that’s how the state decided to allocate the fund- I wish they were giving raises to all CNAs

  7. Lakeland village cnas arent getting no compensation for having a licnse in the nursing facilty. I blame the union for not fighting for licensed providers
